Jane Prey is a Program Director in the Division of Undergraduate Education. She is on leave from the University of Virginia

where she is a faculty member in the Computer Science Department. Jane is particularly interested in gender issues, the learning process,

and outcomes assessment. Jane received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in biology. She has done graduate work in mathematics and in higher education, receiving her PhD in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia. She is active in a number of professional organzations and serves on the board for the ACM SIGCSE (Special Interest Group Computer Science Education) and the IEEE Computer Society Educational Activities Board.
