Lee-Feng Chien’s Bio
Lee-Feng Chien received his Computer Science Ph.D. degree
from National Taiwan University in 1991. Since 1993 he joined the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica,
and is currently an associate research fellow of the Institute. Dr. Chien\'s research interests include
Information Retrieval, Chinese Information Processing, Natural Language
Processing, Spoken Language Processing and Web Mining. In these areas, he has
authorized more than 100 technical papers on refereed journals and conference
proceedings. Dr. Chien is an associate editor for ACM Transactions on Asian
Language Information Processing and Journal of Computational Linguistics and
Chinese Language Processing. From 1996 to 2001 he was also an editorial board
member of Information Processing and Management. He served as a committee
member for a number of international conferences, such as ACM-SIGIR and the PC chair at the 1999
International Workshop on Information Retrieval with Asian Languages (IRAL’99).
