Hsin-min Wang was born in Taiwan in 1967. He received the B.S. and Ph.D.
 degrees in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University in
 1989 and 1995, respectively. Since then he joined the Institute of
 Information Science, Academia Sinica as a postdoctoral researcher. In
 November 1996, he was promoted as an assistant research fellow. From
 February 2000 to July 2001, he was an adjunct assistant professor at
 Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taipei University of
 Technology. His major research interests include speech processing,
 natural language processing, spoken dialogue processing, and multimedia
 information retrieval. He was a recipient of the Chinese Institute of
 Engineers (CIE) Technical Paper Award in 1995. He is a member of IEEE,
 ISCA, and ACLCLP.
