Biography:

Chih-Yi Chiu received his B.S. and M.S. from National Taiwan University in 1997 and 1999, respectively. He received a Ph.D. in National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2004. He is currently an postdoctoral fellow of the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica. Dr. Chiu has received the outstanding paper award of the Image Processing and Pattern Recognition (IPPR) Society of Taiwan, ROC in 2003. His research interests include multimedia information retrieval, computer graphics, pattern recognition, and computer vision.
