Mail Service Settings outside of IIS
You can access you mail in the three
following ways:
- Use webmail
- Use your mail client via SSL
- Use VPN
Use webmail
Open the browser and connect to
https://webmail.iis.sinica.edu.tw/. Please remember to use https
instead of http. This is useful if you do not have secure environments
to access your mailbox. For example you are borrowing other's computer.
Use mail client via SSL
You can set up you mail client to access the mail server
via SSL. This setting is suitable whether you are inside or outside of
IIS.
- POP3/IMAP Server: mail.iis.sinica.edu.tw, POP3s(port: 995),
IMAPs(port: 993).
- SMTP Server: mail.iis.sinica.edu.tw, mail.iis.sinica.edu.tw,
SMTPs(port: 465). Remember to select SSL and "Use Name and Password".
Use VPN
Please connect to IIS VPN server (140.109.16.129) first,
and then you can access the mail server as if you are with IIS network.
