Wireless Networks
We have set up access points (AP) around IIS new
and old buildings for wireless connections. Before using the wireless
networks, you have to register the MAC address of your wireless adapter
for security reasons. The address can be found by execute the command
"ipconfig/all" (CMD of MS/Windows) or "ifconfig/all" (UNIX) in the
physical address field.
You can register your wireless adapter or the guest's adapter. We will
distribute different IP address based on the owner of the MAC address.
If the address is yous, you will get a private IP for you to access
internal networks. If the address is from a guest, the guest will get a
public IP which is not able to access the internal networks. However,
if the guest has a VPN account, he can still access the internal
resources via VPN.
