Cryptanalysis of Improved Liaw's Broadcasting Cryptosystem*

An inconsistency in the improvement given in [1] on Liaw¡¦s broadcasting crytosystem [2] is detected and new attacks to the system are presented. A modification of the cryptosystem to overcome both the conspiracy attack and our own cryptanalysis is proposed.
