Open Source for Web-Based Video Editing*

An open-source tool named NOVET for Web-based video editing is presented. It allows the user to edit video content and post videos through a Web browser. This paper introduces the user interface, functionality, and architecture of NOVET. Comparisons with five other similar tools are given to show the merits of NOVET. When compared one on one, NOVET has four or more functions that are better than those of the other tools.
