Purpose
Journal of Information Science and Engineering is currently published bimonthly by the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica. The purpose of this Journal is to provide an open forum to publish high quality research papers in the areas of information science and engineering to promote the exchange of research ideas, experiences and results. This Journal therefore sincerely invites the submission of technical manuscripts on topics within this area.
Papers
Both original work and tutorial expositions of permanent reference values are welcome. Papers with contents extracted from selected high quality master, Ph.D. dissertations or papers previously presented orally in an international conference are also welcome, but usually have to be substantially deepened or carefully revised to meet the technical and presentational standards maintained by this Journal.
Editorial Boards
The Editorial Board of this Journal includes an Editor-in-Chief, a managing editor and several editors. All manuscripts are received by the managing editor, and the Editor-in-Chief forwards each manuscript to one editor who will be responsible for the review processes, including sending to reviewers and making decisions on acceptance. The Editor-in-Chief is the chairperson of the Board, responsible for calling the Board meeting to discuss the Editorial Policy, forwarding the manuscripts to each editor, and the final processing of all the manuscripts recommended by the editors. One third of the Board members are re-elected every two years. An Editorial Advisory Board is also organized by the Editorial Board to provide advices to the Editorial Board.
