<p>當初IR/LED是1mW程度的,但之後在導入類似半導體雷射構造的具有多層構造異質結合磊晶技術及使用MOCVD等的氣相沉積技術後,現在的IR/LED有數mW級~數W級高出力的產品被實用、販賣。而且其波長帶主要以850nm, 870nm, 940 nm為中心的800 nm~1500 nm之間變得更被廣泛運用,它的周波數特性及回應速度也變得更高速了。像這樣高出力的紅外線LED登場後,可以預期應用於監視大規模、廣域停車場夜視相機的IR光源及大規格、高速通信用途上。雖然IR/LED不像紅色、藍色、綠色等可視光源受矚目,但其可運用範圍的市場是超越你我想像之外的廣泛,其今後市場成長可見預期。<br/>
