 If you don't speak
Mandarin/Taiwanese, or afraid that the taxi driver cannot speak
English, It's recommended to bring hard copies of takemetothesinica.pdf
along with yourself which is the address and contact details in Chinese
for getting to destination: Academic Activities Center of Academia
Sinica, which is the place for on-campus accommodation and where the
workshop venue is near-by. It's quit handy for you to communicate with
him or her until both sides come to a deal before boarding.
Only local currency New Taiwan Dolloars (NT$) are accepted in all
stores and taxi. The current exchange rate is US$ 1 = NT$ 32.4. |

Taxi
queues are outside the Arrival Halls of both terminals. To ensure the
safety of passengers, only the taxis and the drivers approved by the
Aviation Police Bureau are permitted to operate in Taoyuan Airport. |

taxis charge according to the meter plus a 50% surcharge (highway tolls
not included), and typically, it takes 50 mins to go to Academia Sinica
with a fare approx. NT$2,000. They also provide transport service to
anywhere in Taiwan (which is charged by a standardized fare rate). |

platform is on the southwest side of the Arrival Passenger Reception
Area in Terminal I, and on the northeast side of the Arrival Passenger
Reception in Terminal II. |

take any bus whose destination is Taipei City. Adult one-way ticket
price varies from NT$110 to $145, and journey time is approx. 1 hr,
depending on traffic condition. |

getting off at any bus stop at Taipei City, please transfer to take a

Bus), or Free Go Bus that you are boarding, it's recommended to get off
at bus stop MRT
Zhongxiao Fuxing. This is the nearest stop to Academia Sinica. And
then please transfer to take a taxi directly to Academia Sinica. |
