Scope

The International Journal of Computational Geometry & Applications (IJCGA) is a bimonthly journal devoted to the field of computational geometry within the framework of design and analysis of algorithms, and its applications to various fields including computer-aided gemetric design (CAGD), computer graphics, constructive solid geometry (CSG), operations research, pattern recognition, robotics, solid modelling, VLSI routing/layout, and others.

Emphasis is placed on the computational aspects of geometric problems that arise in various fields of science and engineering. Research contributions ranging from theoretical results in algorithm design - sequential or parallel, probabilistic or randomized algorithms - – to applications in the above-mentioned areas are welcome. Research findings or experiences in the implementations of geometric algorithms, such as numerical stability, and papers with a geometric flavour are also welcome.

GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTORS

  1. Manuscripts are to be submitted in 5 copies to the Chief Editor or to any member of the Editorial Board. Electronic submissions are encouraged.
  2. Submission of a manuscript indicates a tacit understanding that the paper is not actively under consideration for publication with other journals.
  3. If copyrighted material is used, the author should obtain the necessary copyright release and submit it along with the manuscript.
  4. Once a paper is accepted authors are assumed to cede copyrights of the paper to WSPC.
  5. All papers will be acknowledged and refereed. They will not be returned.
  6. Authors may suggest appropriate persons to referee their paper, however, the Editors need not necessarily take up the suggestion. Authors may request that their identity be kept unknown to the referees.
  7. Camera-ready manuscripts are to be prepared using computer typesetting software in LaTeX, once the authors are notified acceptance of their manuscripts. The typesetting instruction software can be obtained from the Chief Editor.
  8. To expedite publication, electronic submission of the manuscript to the Chief Editor at dtlee@iis.sinica.edu.tw using provided software is strongly recommended. See Instructions for preparing final manuscript for IJCGA. If LaTeX is not available, electronic submission of manuscript in ASCII is also acceptable.
  9. If electronic submission is not feasible, please send the manuscript in ASCII on a 3.5 inch floppy disk to facilitate typesetting.
  10. There will be no page charge for the journal.
  11. Authors will be provided with 50 free offprints. Purchase orders for additional reprints can be made on order forms which will be sent to the authors.
