Curriculum Vitae

I work in the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, Taiwan as a postdoctoral fellow since Oct. 2002, in the Web Knowledge Discovery Lab. under the supervision of Dr. Lee-Feng Chien. My research interests include network and information security, distributed systems, peer-to-peer computing (P2P), web mining and knowledge discovery.

I received my BS and Ph.D. degrees from Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1994 and 2002, respectively. During my Ph.D study, I worked in the OANet. Lab. under the supervision of Dr. Tzao-Lin Lee.

For more information about me, please take a look at a short biography or detaied description about me.

Research Interests

My current research interests include network and information security, distributed systems, peer-to-peer computing (P2P), web mining, and knowledge discovery. Specifically, I worked on the issues in Peer-to-Peer Computing during the last year of my Ph.D study. After joining IIS, Academia Sinica, I've been working on the problem of E-mail Filtering since Feb. 2003. Now I'm also interested in Digital Rights Management (DRM).

My previous studies focus mainly on the lower-level networking protocols, and the topics include the network protocols, network management, network security, and mobile Internet.

Now I'm trying to bridge the gap between security issues in lower-level protocols and the higher-level information contents.
