Pu-Jen Cheng received his Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science under the supervision of Dr. Wei-Pang Yang from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 2001. Since October 2001, he joined the Web Knowledge Discovery Lab, Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, as a Postdoctoral Fellow, under the supervision of Dr. Lee-Feng Chien. Dr. Cheng's research interests include Web mining, text mining, content-based image/video retrieval, cross-language information retrieval, multimedia,  database systems, digital libraries, and Chinese information processing.
