Abstract

Cognitive radio emerges as an attractive solution to spectrum shortage and therefore cognitive radio network (CRN) serves a potential technology for future wireless communications. Due to the opportunistic nature of CRN, many fundamental issues have to be revisited, particularly in cognition and random graph dynamics. Both subjects precisely meet a new trend known as network science emerging in past decade. This talk will finally look into some clues of network science among technology networks, social networks, evolution, biology, mathematics, statistical decision and machine intelligence, and statistical mechanics, toward new frontier of knowledge and technology.
