Ding-Yong Hong received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2004, 2005 and 2013, respectively. He joined the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, as an assistant research fellow in 2020. He has more than ten years of experience in the field of optimizing compilers, dynamic binary translation, virtualization, and parallel and distributed computing. His papers are mainly published in top journals (ACM/IEEE Transactions, e.g., IEEE TPDS, and ACM TACO) and top conferences (ACM/IEEE CGO, IEEE PACT, IEEE ICPP, and IEEE ICPADS). He has published more than 20 technical papers and won the Best Paper Award of IEEE ICPADS 2016. He had been invited to give technical talks at Intel USA, Google USA, and the prestigious HiPEAC 2016 and 2019 technical conference. His research interests include the areas of compilers and computer architectures. His current research focuses on (1) AI compiler, optimizing compiler, dynamic binary translation; (2) parallel computing and parallel architectures, including multicores, GPU, GPGPU, MIC, and SIMD acceleration; and (3) virtualization.
