LinkedIn is a business-oriented social network service with more than 400 million members in 200 countries around the globe. When joining Linkedin, you get access to people, jobs, news, updates, and insights that help you to be great at what you do. Professionals use Linkedin to help them becoming more productive and successful. In this talk we explain Linkedin’s business model and how it achieve its goal. In addition, Linkedin is a company which embrace and contribute to many open source project to build its core infrastructure to serve its member at scale. We will give an overview on how to connect these open source projects to form a scalable platform.
