Abstract
Abstract: Biological and social networks are complex multimedia
information networks for which cloud computing will generate great
promises. We will present some results and current works on gene
regulatory networks, PUBMED ontology networks, community structures,
and cell video networks.
Bio: Su-Shing Chen is Professor Emeritus at UF. He is also affiliated
with the UF Genetics Institute, McKnight Brain Institute and the
Biomedical Informatics Program of the Medical School. He served as
Program Director at US NSF, 1983-85 and 1991-95. He was involved with
the Information Superhighway project and developed the Digital Library
Initiative in 1994.
