With the advance of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, more and more medical and biological researches adopt NGS technologies to study biological problems. However, the efficiency is one of the major challenging issues for NGS data analysis since it involves huge amount of sequence comparisons. We develop several NGS data analysis tools for read mapping, variant calling, and strain identification for different NGS datasets and applications. In this talk, I'll introduce the major idea of these tools and demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithms.
