The Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer Award is an annual award held by the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering and given distinguished young engineers to recognize their excellent contribution in electrical engineering related fields.
Dr. Sheng-Wei Chen was awarded the prize for his outstanding research contribution in network and multimedia quality of experience researches and online game researches. His research group is one of a few research teams which dedicate to the design and operation issues on online games. Their research areas cover network performance, user satisfaction, cheating, user behavior analysis, and computer-human interaction in online games. Dr. Chen actively participates in academia-industry collaborations with a long-term goal to make changes in the digital entertainment industry by bringing together the efforts from both the academia and the industry.
