摘要
Recently, there is a trend of building a foundation model for different modalities, ranging from text, image, to audio. In this talk, Dr. Wang will discuss his recent work on building a pre-trained model for symbolic music data (a type of representation that represents musical contents with music notations, e.g., music scores, MIDI files, etc.), along with the general idea, purpose, challenges, and possibilities of building a foundation model for symbolic music. Dr. Wang will also share his experiences as a Ph.D student and a researcher.
